In 1953, evangelistic work began with tent meetings in Maili, which eventually moved into an abandoned restaurant. In 1960, Maili Assembly of God was planted, with Pastor Douglas Pew becoming its first pastor. (pic: Pastor Harold Headrick and Pastor Pew breaking ground on church property)
On August 15, 1962, Maili Assembly of God held their first worship service in their new facility. The first church officers in this new work were: Deacon Samuel David Jr., Sunday School Superintendent Robert Bell, CA President Anne Loving, WM President Jane Loving.
Jesus said, Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. (John 4:35)
